Since my last report in December 2024, much has happened at both the Pacific Parkinson’s Research Institute (PPRI) and the Pacific Parkinson’s Research Centre (PPRC)—and there’s much more ahead. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our donors, PPRI received nearly $1 million during the 2024–25 financial year. In the same period, we pledged approximately $5 million to fund a wide range of Parkinson’s research projects.

This past year has been marked by many exciting events including the Annual Scientific Review held in May, a PPRI presentation to the North Shore Health Expo in early June, and the launch of the ‘Bjorn Moller Research Repository’ (BMRR) project in September. PPRI invested over $1.2 million in continuing PD research projects.
