Annual Scientific Review
Each year, PPRI hosts its Scientific Review - a highlight on our calendar that brings together senior researchers from the Pacific Parkinson’s Research Centre (PPRC) to share meaningful updates on current and past projects. The event offers a unique window into how recent discoveries are advancing Parkinson’s research on a global scale, while giving donors an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the groundbreaking work their generosity makes possible.
Donors have the chance to meet the scientists and research teams behind the work, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of how their support is translated into real scientific progress.
The next Scientific Review will take place on may 11th, 2026.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Chair Don Anderson will share reflections on more than thirty years of advancing world-class Parkinson’s research at PPRC.
Dr. Silke Appel-Cresswell, Director of PPRC, will be joined by her colleagues to present insights into leading research initiatives underway at UBC, made possible through the support of the PPRI community.
Guests are invited to connect with researchers and PPRI Directors during the intermission and at a post-presentation reception. The venue is fully accessible.
